Although my family and I enjoyed our trip, there were some things which surprised us. While linens are on the list of items provided, it would have been nice to know that may not include washcloths. We rented two houses and one had them and the other did not. Also I was surprised that only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom for a stay of 6 days. We also needed more than two garbage bags for the kitchens and dishwasher detergent during our stay. Since it was during the holidays, there were little notes concerning contacting the management company, the hours of operation, etc and what constitutes an emergency. Overall, the quality of the home was acceptable. I guess our biggest complaint was having to purchase items we felt should have been provided. And the claim of the proximity to Disney is inaccurate.
Thanks for the feedback, we do state on the check-in instructions that our vacation rentals are self catered and cleaning supplies and toiletries will need to be provided by the guest. That initial toilet paper roll and trash bags are left by Eagle Management as a courtesy to the guest. We are glad you enjoyed the homes rented.
The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family and they had the majority of day to day items in the home so we could comfortably cook and relax. Location was about 30 mins from attractions and its sort of remote but we liked that. The negatives were that the heater in the pool seemed to konk out the last 2 days and the master bed was super old and uncomfortable. The bedding was nasty! I pulled the blankets off and there were lots of hairs on the sheets and the comforters were really old and made my skin crawl. I had to wash all the bedding when I got there which was a pain. House was in overall good condition but bedding is important to me.
Thanks for your comments and concerns, when we have any issue with the home especially cleaning it is important that the customer call us so we can visit the home and rectify the problem. Sheets are washed on every rental and comforters like hotels are washed but less frequently. There should not have been any hairs on the beds and this is why we would have liked to send the cleaning crew to rectify as they are human and can make mistakes but we send them to fix anything that is wrong upon arrival. We inspect each home prior to arrival but we do not undress the beds so i can see how we would not have noticed this before your arrival.
While the house was large enough and functional, the beds were worn out, there was a shortage of hand towels, wash cloths, and kitchen linens (2 hand towels in a three bathroom house, maybe 8 washcloths in a three bedroom house that is supposed to sleep 10, and one dish towel), the linens were of poor quality or worn out, the house was only superficially clean (there were cobwebs behind the toilet in the master bath telling me the floors were not properly cleaned), and I was disappointed in the overall appearance of the home (a wall in the great room was half painted). The pool heat was supposed to warm the pool in 24 to 48 hours but it took more like 72 hours for the pool to warm up despite the day time highs being in the 80s. Finally there were many deferred maintenance issues that concerned me, especially the fact that all of the lights in the pool were burned out, only to find out one was defective. This posed a significant safety hazard in that after dark you could not see the bottom of the pool. Also, there were no GFI outlets in the bathrooms, another safety hazard. And I had to put batteries in the remote control (which was held together with tape) because the ones taped in did not work. I would expect something advertised as an executive rental would be held to a little higher standard and the management company would make more effort to insure routine issues like cleanliness and maintenance were taken care of. Otherwise, the only issue was the remoteness of the home. It is in a small subdivision, surrounded by a couple more small subdivisions, in an area of mostly cow pastures and industrial locations.
We appreciate your comments and can only say that if any guests encounters any cleanliness or maintenance issues as we would have happily sent both our cleaners and maintenance staff to rectify these issues. We have a staff member that checks the home before each arrival to ensure the homes are ready for check-in. Pool heaters work in it's own way and we cannot control the time they take to heat up the water as all the water in the pool needs to filter through the heater to get up to temperature. If we have temperatures lower at night, then it will take longer. The pool lights were broken and both have been repaired As far as the location of the home it is actually 15 minutes from Disney via Interstate 4. Just a few miles South approx 2 miles there is a huge shopping plaza called Posner Park with a Target, JCPenney, Best Buy, Belks, Dollar Tree, Payless and many more as well as restaurants very close by.
The Home was clean and well lit. The house was comfortable and not too far from Grocery stores or Malls. The Swimming Pool was terrible. We were initially charged for heating to the Pool that never occured. The management company told us that due to the low temps in the area the pool would not heat. But we have experience with Heated pools and they were just to embrassed to admit that there Pool was not working correctly.
Thanks for the comments, Pool heating at this time of the year will still be working but when we encounter cold snaps and outside ambient temperatures below 55 degrees the pool heater will struggle to maintain the pool water warm for prolonged periods of time. Overnight the pool water will automatically loose around 10 degrees and the water temperature will be felt at approx 10 degrees higher than the ambient temperatures. This means that if outside it is 60 then the pool water will probably read a temperature in the 70's. This will probably still be too cold for some guests to enjoy. Unfortunately we charge for the pool heating being turned ON and we cannot control nor are responsible for the ambient temperatures.
This is a lovely big home in a super quiet neighbourhood. I do have two suggestions that might help future guests. I would suggest that one set of twin beds from one of the front bedrooms be swapped with the double bed in the bedroom closest to the master. This arrangement might work better for other families like ours who are travelling with small children or for two families sharing the house - this gives a master and a room with two twins at each end of the house. With the house being so big and with no alarm system, we were not comfortable with one of both of our young children sleeping at the front of the house near the front door on their own. As a result, they had to share a bed in the bedroom closest to the master. Also, considering that we are asked as a courtesy to the cleaning staff to start the load of sheets in the washer before we leave, I think that bleach should be provided so that the sheets can be properly disinfected between guests. I don't have a problem purchasing cleaning items which are for our own use, buy I feel the owner should provide the bleach for proper washing of the sheets. I hope that my suggestions are helpful to future guests. We really did enjoy our stay and would never stay in a small hotel room again when we could be in a big beautiful home like this one.
Suggestions taken and appreciated and we are very happy that you have enjoyed your stay with us. Hope to have you back soon.
the house was immaculate, great value for the money. Location was perfect. Close to stores and restraunts. the only complaint we had was there were no extra rolls of toilet paper in the home, only 1 roll per bathroom so we had to go to the store to buy some and no wi-fi connection. Other than that our stay was perfect and we will be returning later in the year and hope to rent here again and we will and have reccommended this company to our friends.
Eagle Management was very helpful in finding a home that suited my families needs. The rooms seemed to be clean and we loved having the pool to keep cool. The few things we were disappointed in was the fact that the house had no cleaning supplies, garbage bags, extra toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We didn't expect to have to pay for those extra things when we felt that the price we paid to stay was well enough to have these things stocked. I also had to re-wash the sheets and every comforter in the house looked dirty as well so we had to spend time during our vacation to clean these things. Other than that, our stay was satisfactory.
Thanks for your comments, we would have been happy to take the comforters to the dry cleaners for you. Supplies are provided by the guest as these homes are self catered. We hope to see you soon. The Eagle Team
