The pull out bed in the couch was old, worn out and uncomfortable. When I asked for a sheet for it at the registration desk I was told to contact Eagle Management, which I did (It was Thanksgiving Day when we got there.) I was told that was not an emergency so my granddaughters had to sleep on a blanket. The person I spoke to was so abrupt I didn't try again, the girls managed. The cooking ware was spotty, a coffee mug was broken (no handle), and the carpetting was quite dirty in areas. The whole unit needs drastic updating! We loved the pool area best and spent a lot of time there and the people handing out towels and checking us into the pool area were very nice. There was a sweet asian woman at the registration desk who was very helpful and the the spa women were wonderful too. At least our entire family was able to be together so in that respect the living space worked for us.
Thanks for the feedback, generally pull out couches will be less than comfortable anyway you look at them as the mattresses are made very thin so they can fold into the couch. 4 bedroom units will sleep 8 comfortably and 10 if you wish to use the pull out couch but not all units have these either, some guests will just use the actual couch to sleep in and find this more comfortable for their sleep.
The area was very clean and the pool area was also clean as well. I love the convenient location to all the Disney parks. The townhouse itself was a little warn, but was ok and we loved the space. The toaster set my bagel on fire after being in there for about 30 seconds. There was a rip in the king fitted sheet and one of the towels (which made it seem not welcoming). We were a little disappointed to not find that it was a self contained unit and had to buy many of the simple things that are usually provided when we stay at a hotel, like coffee filters, toilet paper, dish soap... It was helpful to have the shops down the street to help get the items that we needed when we arrived there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It is a nice complex and was quiet and had the space that we needed to help make our trip a good one.
Thanks for the comments, we do try to advise all our guests that our homes and townhomes are all self catered and guest is responsible of providing their cleaning supplies and toiletries during their stay unlike hotels. The issues reported have been addressed and we thank you for letting us know of these, the best feedback is from the guests that actually stay in these units and this way we can make them better,
The villa was very nice and clean. In this villa there was some silverware, and other dishes along with cooking pans. It was nice to get their and not have to spend money on utensils or plates. Just make sure you buy some dish soap and some laundry detergent for the washer and dryer. The master bedroom bath was very nice and spacious. The only thing that wasn't fun was the aC unit. It was set to 75 degrees and there were signs saying if the aC get messed up there will be a service charge for a maintenance repair man. We were there in april and it was in the 80's during the day and 60's-70's at night it was very warm in the villa. There is only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. There was also some stains around the carpets and rips on some of the couch cushions and couch pillows. The staff was very friendly when we got their. But be advised the phone is like a hotel phone and if you call the front desk for help you actually get charged around $.50 cents, which is insane. The villa is not very far from disney areas, when traffic is not to bad it will take about 15-20 minutes to get to Disney and when there is traffic(which is often) it can take 30-45 minutes. The sad part is Disney is only about 12-15 miles. There are a lot of grocery stores near by, there is a Publix grocery store about 1 minute from the villa and a wal-mart within 5 minutes. There are a lot of stores in this area. The community pool was decent. Overall this is a very nice place and not to much money. There is a maid charge (varying in rates), and also there is a "resort fee" for $10/day even if you do not plan to use the Regal Palms resort. So for my family we stayed 7 days and it cost us $70 in resort fees. We flew into the Orlando airport and it took us about 30-40 minutes to get tot hte Resort. So again for hte money you pay we think it is a good deal for the money, and I would stay there again. I stayed at 316 Cambria avenue. The Regal Palms was in Davenport,FL.
Thanks for the comments on your stay, The A/c temperature should not have been 80's during the day unless doors were left open so we will check on this and thanks for letting us know, calls to the front desk of the resort are independent from calls to our office. We have a toll free number 1-866-377-4645. distance to the parks should have been much less so I am wondering if you took the long way to get to the attractions, with traffic it should have been no more than 15-20 to Disney. When you come
When we walked in and saw holes in the walls that had been patched and never re-painted... we worried. Then the coffee maker took 45 minutes to brew 6 cups of coffee; the toaster did not work properly; there were "do not do " signs all over the walls; the place needs to be re-hab'd... from the carpet w/ no padding to towels w/o washcloths. We were very disappointed.
Thanks for the comments and we have noted all these and have advised the owner of the things you noticed. Coffeemaker and toaster have both been checked now and they work properly.
Eagle Management is the worst Management Company I have every dealt with. Rude, argumentative, and extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone! The property was not clean. We had ants, no toilet paper when we arrived and a leak in our living room ceiling.
It is unfortunate that you have not enjoyed your stay at our property as our goal is for all guests to enjoy their stay and come back to rent with us again.Regarding the above mentioned issue it was discussed with the guest over the phone that the staff that was rude and argumentative was the front desk personel at Regal Palms Resort and Spa, our office is located off-site and unfortunately we have nothing to do with the staff at Regal Palms as this is a completely different company but we have voiced your opinion to them and informed their superiors. When you reported you had ants in the unit we dispatched maintenance to attend this issue, there was a further call for the small leak in the ceiling and again we dispatched maintenance to attend this issue, a toilet wax ring needed to be replaced and as per guest it was OK to take care of this issue on your departure date. All our vacation rentals are self-catered which means we will provide the initial toilet paper roll and trash liners
